Syria will be able to restore its stability and its pivotal and leading role, says Czech politician

Prague, (ST) –  The Head of the Czechoslovakian Institute of International Relations Jaromir Schlapata affirmed that the Anniversary of Syria’s Evacuation Day represents a bright point in the heart and conscience of the Syrian people who struggled and offered sacrifices to defeat and expel the last occupying French soldier from their homeland.

In a statement to SANA’s correspondent in Prague on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the Evacuation Day, Shalabata expressed his appreciation for the role and heroism of the Syrian people to reach the ultimate goal of achieving national independence and maintaining their sovereign decision, expelling the occupier, and making a rich legacy that is full of national meanings and values for the coming generations and the peoples of the world that cannot be canceled from history and memory.

Shalabata said: “Today, the Syrian people are also struggling to defeat terrorism and confront unilateral coercive measures and all forms of conspiracy and pressure imposed by the United States and its allies, to undermine Syria’s positions, which indicates deep-rooted patriotism and determination to confront anyone who tries to harm Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of its decision.” .

Shalabata called on the international community not to submit to Washington and to show solidarity with the Syrian people, by calling for the immediate lifting of coercive measures and all forms of sanctions, which caused them a lot of suffering and deprived them of the most basic necessities of life.

Shalabata expressed his confidence that the Syrian people, as they were victorious on April 17, 1946, will be victorious again. “Syrian people will be able to restore its security and stability in order to continue its pivotal and pioneering role regionally and internationally”, he added.
