Iranian president accepts the invitation of the Saudi king to visit Riyadh

Tehran, (ST) – Ali Reza Enayati, Director of the Gulf Countries Affairs Department at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced that President Ibrahim Raisi had accepted the invitation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz to visit Riyadh.

IRNA quoted Enayati as saying: We received an invitation from the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz to visit Riyadh and the responding from the Office of President Raisi to this invitation was positive. He pointed out that this visit will contribute in enhancing relations between the two countries.

“It will be an important visit and will have a positive impact on strengthening bilateral relations”, Enayati added.

Enayati  said that Iran and Saudi Arabia affirm that their relations will not be limited to bilateral ties, as they are two big countries, and that cooperation between them in various fields will have a great impact on the region and beyond.
