Clashes continue between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces

Violent clashes continued for the second day in a row between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces.

The Sudanese army command announced control and seizure of the bases and headquarters of the Rapid Support Forces in a number of Sudanese cities.

The General Command of the Armed Forces posted on Facebook that the Sudanese army announced the control of the bases of the Rapid Support Forces in the cities of “Port Sudan”, “Kassala”, “Al-Qadarif”, “Damazin”, “Kosti”, “Kadogli” and the “Kari” camp in the north and Omdurman, after the Rapid Support Forces left leaving equipment and vehicles behind.

In addition, the army command denied the validity of the news that the Rapid Support Forces have taken over or even approached any of the headquarters of the General Command.

The army command said: The ground forces tower was subjected to a fire as a result of the morning clashes, and it was controlled, and no one was hurt.

The clashes began  yesterday morning in Khartoum, and other areas of the country between the Sudanese army forces and the Rapid Support Forces, which resulted in many casualties among the military and civilians.
