15 low-intensity quakes recorded during the past 24 hours

The National Earthquake Center on Saturday announced that its stations have recorded 15 weak earth tremors of less than magnitude 4.4 on Richter scale over the past 24 hours.

The center announced on its facebook page that the tremors occurred as follows: a magnitude 1.6 tremor hit northwest of Damascus, 36 km away from the Syrian-Lebanese borders, a magnitude 2.3 quake northwest of Hama, a magnitude 2.3 tremor northwest of Idlib, a magnitude 2.5 northwest of Aleppo, a magnitude 2.6 quake southwest of Lattakia. 6 tremors ranging between magnitude 1.7 and 3.3 were also recorded in Liwa Iskenderun, 2 weak tremors in Turkey, a tremor in the Mediterranean and a magnitude 4.4 quake in the Red Sea, according to the center.
