With popular participation, an event in the Yarmouk camp in Damascus to commemorate the World Quds Day

Damascus (ST): Under the title (The West Bank, Shield of Jerusalem), and with wide popular participation, an event was held today in the Yarmouk camp in Damascus on the occasion of World  Quds Day, in support of the Palestinian people and their steadfastness in the face of Zionist aggressions.

The event organized by the Standing Committee for World Al-Quds Day included a parade by the people of the Palestinian camps in Syria, and the national flags of the axis countries and the resistance groups were raised, and slogans were chanted that affirmed that Jerusalem will remain the issue of struggle and that the occupation will end no matter how long it takes, and victory over it is inevitable to liberate the land and restore rights.

This was followed by a mass rally in the presence of Syrian official figures, leaders of parties and resistance groups, Palestinian and Lebanese forces, clerics, and a number of representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Damascus.

Hussam Al-Samman, Secretary of the Damascus Branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, stated in a speech that resisting the occupation, by all means, is the only way to liberate Jerusalem and all Palestinian land, stressing that the Palestinian cause will remain the compass of the Syrian people in facing the challenges that Syria and the Arab nation are exposed to, and Palestine will remain the core of the national cause. .

The Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command, Dr. Talal Naji, gave a historical presentation on defining World Quds Day, and the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people and the countries of the axis of Resistance, indicating that this day is a message to all honorable and free people in the world that whatever the Zionist entity and its supporters do, Jerusalem  will remain Arab and the Palestinians will return to their homes, noting Syria’s position in support of the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of its army and people who achieved victory over terrorism.

Member of the Shura Council of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyed, pointed to the great cohesion between the components of the countries of the axis of resistance towards the Palestinian cause, and that World Quds Day is one of the most prominent events that united and brought them together.
