Celebrating the International Al-Quds Day through a folkloric ceremony in Damascus

As we all know the Palestinian people always love to showcase their heritage and culture in all ways possible, asserting their existence that has been unjustly threatened by the Israeli occupation.

The Folkloric show took place in the cultural center of Kafr Souseh area in Damascus. It included expressive dances that were presented by four artistic youth bands, embodying the Syrian and Palestinian heritage and highlighting its national role and the artsy and individual value that it holds.

“Syria has always represented the beating heart of Arabism. This has been embodied in supporting and integrating the Palestinian people into the Syrian society since 1948. This type of events reflects the real image of Palestine for the future generations to adhere to their homeland, enhance their belonging to their identity and practice all types of struggle to return to Palestine”, the Secretary of the Alliance of Palestinian Forces and Factions in Khan Dunoun camp Ghassan Ibrahim said in a statement to SANA.

One of the dancers, Mottaz Al Aktaa, pointed out that the dances, presented during the ceremony, express the Syrian heritage, thus emphasizing the national cohesion between the Syrian and Palestinian people and the unity of their heritage .

The ceremony was attended by the Secretary of the Damascus branch of the Baath Arab Socialist Party Hussam Al-Samman, a number of members of the branch leadership and leaders of the Palestinian factions in Damascus.
