Sousan affirms to Bogdanov the need to end the illegal Turkish presence on Syrian territory

On April 3rd, Ayman Sousan, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, met in Moscow with, Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Representative of the Russian President, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The two sides held consultations regarding the quadrilateral meeting of the assistant foreign ministers of Syria, Russia, Iran and Turkey, due to be held tomorrow.

 Sousan stressed the need to end the illegal Turkish presence on Syrian territory, not to interfere in Syrian internal affairs, and to combat terrorism in all its forms.

In turn, Bogdanov renewed his country’s position to continue working to ensure that Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity are respected.

The meeting was attended by members of the Syrian and Russian delegations.
