Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf calls for putting pressure on occupation to stop its attacks on Palestinian sanctities

The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs on Friday called on international legal and humanitarian institutions to shoulder the responsibility and pressure the Israeli occupation and settlers to stop their constant attacks on the Palestinian sanctities.

In a statement to WAFA News Agency, the Palestinian Minister of Awqaf Hatem Al-Bakri said that the occupation seeks to Judaize Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the West Bank city of Al-Khalil (Hebron) in complete disregard for international agreements and treaties that guarantee the inviolability of the historical heritage and religious sanctities. He clarified that the occupation seeks to achieve this goal in the light of the silence of the international community which has done nothing towards this crime. He called on the Palestinians to keep steadfast as to foil the Israeli colonialist scheme.

Al-Bakri pointed out that despite the restrictions imposed by the occupation, dozens of Palestinian worshipers, since early morning, went to Al-Khalil old city to perform Friday prayers at Al-Ibrahimi Mosque.
