The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemns the recent attacks of the Zionist entity on Syria

Tehran (ST): Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani strongly condemned the Zionist entity’s attacks at dawn on Thursday and Friday on some points in Damascus and its countryside.

Kanaani said in a statement: “Unfortunately, the international community did not have the expected  deterrent reaction to the aggressive and continuous military attacks of the Zionist entity on Syria, including civilian airports and residential areas,” noting that such aggressive practices are a flagrant and continuous violation of international laws.

Kanaani explained that these attacks come to divert attention from the deep internal crises and divisions of this entity, as well as its dissatisfaction with the internal strength and the recent openings in the Syrian foreign relation.

He renewed calls on the responsible international institutions, led by the United Nations Security Council, to quickly realize their legal responsibility in taking measures against the aggressor and preventing the continuation of the Zionist entity’s attacks and the repeated and gross violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of a state as a member of the United Nations.
