People’s Assembly confirms that Land Day Intifada is a qualitative addition to the continuous struggle of the Palestinian people

The People’s Assembly (PA) affirmed that the Land Day Intifada on the 30th of March 1976 constituted a qualitative addition to the continuous struggle of the Palestinian people, and an indication of their inalienable right to land and a free and dignified life.

In a statement it issued on Wednesday on the occasion of the 47th  anniversary of Land Day, the PA indicated that this uprising caused a violent shake to the Zionist entity and its criminal gangs. Through this intifada, the Palestinian people proved their presence on their holy land, stressing that it will only be for its true owners.

The statement pointed out that over the past twelve years Syria was subjected to a malicious global conspiracy of the forces of evil, terrorism and aggression, for which they mobilized mercenaries from all parts of the earth. This conspiracy was just a desperate attempt to divert it from its permanent approach and its firm principled positions stemming from adhering to rights, not giving up sovereignty and defending just Arab causes, foremost of which is the issue of Palestine and the restoration of the occupied Syrian Golan.

The Council concluded its statement by affirming that Palestine will remain the central Syrian issue, and the Syrian Arab Army will remain the wall of the homeland and its impenetrable fortress in the face of all that our beloved homeland is exposed to, and in a way that guarantees its dignity, independence and dignity until the liberation of all the usurped Arab lands.
