Mrs. Asma Al-Assad receives Mrs. Anna Kuznetsova

DAMASCUS, Mar.28, (ST)- Today, Mrs. Asma Al-Assad received Mrs. Anna Kuznetsova, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the accompanying delegation, who are visiting Syria within the framework of the continuous coordination between Syria and Russia at the official, parliamentary and social levels.

Talks during the meeting dealt with the international volatile situation and its impact on the Syrian and Russian societies.

Mrs. Al-Assad said that the modern war is not only a military war but also a war that targets identity, culture, principles, values and beliefs, adding that the goal of the West is the dominance of the coming generations and mentality of the youth.
“Immunizing the youth by preserving the concepts of family, society and ethics in the face of liberal modern concepts, represented by the breakup of everything valuable, is the most important target for the free peoples,” Mrs. Al-Assad said.

She added: “We now have an opportunity for solidarity, intensifying efforts and exchanging expertise between Syria and Russia in the fields of culture, society and humanity, particularly as relations between the two countries are built on mutual respect and common principles.”

For her part, Mrs. Kuznetsova, affirmed that her visit to Syria comes to deepen the strong and brotherly ties between the two states and as an extension to the circle of files that the two states would work in the parliamentary and cultural fields.

“Syria and Russia are struggling for general welfare and peace… and they are standing on the same front… the basis of cooperation between the two states is friendship, dignity and the mutual confidence,” Mrs. Kuznetsova added.

She pointed out that the exchange of experiences today regarding the challenges of the new war and its cultural, social and military forms is an urgent necessity as Syria has gained experience in confronting these challenges that tried to sabotage the structure of society and spread extremism in it to fragment it and control it, and this is what the West has failed to achieve so far.
