Bogdanov and Al-Jaafari discuss developments in Syria

The Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and African Countries, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed with the Syrian Ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, the latest developments in Syria.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on its official website: “During the meeting yesterday, views were exchanged on the situation in and around Syria, with a focus on issues of improving relations between Syria and its regional environment.”

Urgent issues were also considered to further strengthen the multifaceted Russian-Syrian cooperation, including the implementation of the agreements reached during the recent official visit of President Bashar al-Assad to Moscow.
