China ready to further contribute to enhancing peace and development in the Middle East

Beijing, (ST) – Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday affirmed his country’s readiness to further contribute to maintaining peace, stability and development in the Middle East.

The Chinese news agency quoted Jinping as saying during a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud on Tuesday: China is ready to work with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to make all-out efforts to build a Chinese-Arab community with a shared future in the new era, and to further contribute to enhancing Peace, stability and development in the Middle East.”

Xi said China will work with Saudi Arabia to implement the recommendations of the Chinese president’s state visit to Saudi Arabia, the first China-Arab summit and the China-Gulf Cooperation Council summit last year, and continue to firmly support each other on issues involving their core interests.

Xi said that the Chinese side is also ready to expand cooperation with Saudi Arabia, and push for the greater development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
