American Senators  renew their demand to end illegal military presence of their country’s forces in Syria

A number of Republican Party representatives in the United States renewed their demand for US President Joe Biden’s administration to end the illegal military presence of their country’s forces in Syria.

In a tweet , Republican Senator from the US state of Kentucky, Rand Paul, wrote: “Return our forces from Syria and end all illegal wars immediately.” He also demanded that the decision to launch war and military operations be returned to Congress.

In turn, Republican Senator Matt Gates of Florida said in a tweet : “The advocates of war in the Republican and Democratic parties say that the presence of our forces in Syria is necessary to maintain the balance of power, but this is not true,” calling for the immediate withdrawal of American soldiers from Syria.

For his part, Republican Senator Ben Kline of Virginia expressed his support for Gates’ statements, stressing the need to withdraw American forces from Syria.

The statements of the three American representatives came after Washington made false accusations against Iran of attacking the illegal American bases in Syria in an attempt to justify the attack launched by the American occupation forces on some areas in Deir Ezzor Governorate, which led to the fall of a number of victims and the injury of others and caused material damages.

The spokesman for the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Kivan Khosravi, confirmed that the United States is trying to evade the repercussions of its illegal occupation of part of the Syrian lands, by making incorrect accusations against Iran of attacking the illegal American bases.
