During an informal meeting of the Security Council on Friday, Mate exposed the claims made and the politicization adopted by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) regarding this alleged attack. He said that two experts from with 30 years of experience, were members of the team that was sent to Syria and conducted investigation into the alleged Douma attack.
