Ambassador Obeid Discusses with Administration of ELAM in Havana the situation of the Syrian students
The Syrian ambassador to Cuba, Dr. Ghassan Obied, discussed with the Vice President of the Latin American School of Medicine in Havana, enhancing the situations of the Syrian Students studying there, and ways of promoting cooperation between ELAM and the Syrian universities.
Obeid expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Cuban government for the scholarship it provides annually to Syrian students to study in Cuban universities, and for the university administration for following up on the daily needs of Syrian students.
In turn, the vice president of ELAM, Damodar Peña, expressed his admiration for the ability of the Syrian students to adapt to the new university life in Cuba, stressing that the concerned Cuban authorities will coordinate permanently with the Syrian embassy in Havana to solve any problems and obstacles that may confront Syrian students.
