300 martyrs’ mothers, wounded army personnel and teachers honored in Sweida

Al-Suwaida, (ST) – During an event that was held on Wednesday on the occasion of Mother’s and Teacher’s Days, the Martyr Foyndation and the Al-Mithqal institution as well as the Directorate of Education in Sweida province on Wednesday honored 300 martyrs’ mothers, wounded personnel and teachers.

During the honoring ceremony, which was hosted by the Directorate of Education Theater, artistic shows were by the school teachers choir group of the Directorate of Education, and national poems by the Syrian Family Forum were presented.

The governor of Sweida, Eng. Bassam Parsec referred in a speech to the immortal heroics of the martyrs, which carry the meanings of pride and dignity for every Syrian mother, and every teacher who sacrificed and gave for the homeland.

The Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mithqal Foundation Hiyam Suleiman pointed out that the honoring ceremony is a gift of love, loyalty, and a tribute to the mothers of the martyrs, the wounded, and the virtuous educators for what they gave to the homeland.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Martyr’s Foundation branch in Sweida, Asaad Al-Shibl stated in his speech that this event reflects the aspects of institutional, social and national cooperation in its best form, and confirms the value of martyrdom, its lofty meanings, and the willingness to ask for death for the sake of the homeland.

A number of honorees expressed their thanks and appreciation to the initiators of the honoring event. They stressed that the homeland is dear and it deserves work and sacrifice from its people to maintain its dignity.
