Occupation forces detain 23 Palestinians in the West Bank

Occupied Al-Quds,  (ST): The Israeli occupation forces detained twenty-three Palestinians in separate areas of the West Bank.

Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods in the cities of Nablus, Bethlehem, the town of Al-Walaja to the west, the towns of Al-Eizariya and Anata in Al-Quds (Jerusalem), Beit Ummar, Dura, Al-Fawar camp in Al-Khalil (Hebron), Qarawat Bani Hassan in Salfit, Khirbet Abu Falah in Ramallah, Ya`bad in Jenin, and Aqabat Jabr camp in Ariha (Jericho) and detained 23 Palestinians .

Yesterday, the occupation forces arrested 16 Palestinians in the West Bank.

Israeli occupation forces demolish slain Palestinian’s house in Nablus

On the other hand, in Nablus, the Israeli forces predawn Wednesday took the measurements of a Palestinian family house in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus in preparation of punitive demolition, according to Wafa News Agency.

They said that a sizable army force barged its way into the city, stormed the family house of Abdel Fattah Hussein Kharousha and took measurements of it in anticipation of imminent punitive demolition.

Kharousha, 49, was one of six Palestinians shot and killed by Israeli forces during a large-scale invasion of the northern West Bank city of Jenin as well as the neighboring Jenin refugee camp on March 7th, 2023. 11 others were wounded in the raid.

He was accused of carrying out a deadly shooting attack in the West Bank town of Huwara last month, resulting in the killing two Israeli settlers.

The Israeli occupation army year-long escalation of its repression and deadly incursions across the West Bank have resulted in a sharp uptick in Palestinian fatalities, particularly during reprisal raids in major population centers, generating further rage and retaliation against the occupation, with the northern West Bank bearing the brunt of the violence.

Israeli occupation forces resort to punitively demolish the family homes of Palestinians as a mean of deterrence- accused of being involved in attacks against Israelis, a policy that “Israel” does not apply to Israeli settlers who were involved in fatal attacks against Palestinians.

The policy was widely condemned by human rights groups as “a collective punishment” and “a war crime and crime against humanity”.
