Palestinian condemnation of  Smotrich’s racist statements: We are firmly rooted in our land, and the occupation will end

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): We are the ones who gave Palestine its name and gave the land its value and status. This land is ours.  (Israel) was established by the colonizers, and we have learned from history that colonialism will end no matter how long it takes”. With these words, the Palestinians responded to the statements of the minister in the Israeli occupation government, Bezalel Smotrich, who  denied the existence of the Palestinian people, and it came days after his call to erase the town of Hawara, south of Nablus, from existence.

The Palestinian Presidency said in a statement reported by Wafa Agency: Smotrich’s racist statements are an attempt to falsify history and reveal the racism of the occupation government, which is trying to deny the solid existence of the Palestinian people on this land since early history.

It added: The attempts of the occupation to invent false narratives denying the existence of the Palestinian people are refuted by history, which confirms that our people are the owner of this land in which their roots extend into the depths of history, noting that the occupation is trying to steal history and falsify it in favor of myths and lies as a way to perpetuate the occupation, which will end sooner or later, no matter how long it takes. .

For his part, Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh stressed that these statements, which constitute conclusive evidence of the racism of the occupation government, will not affect the Palestinians’ belonging to their land and history, as all antiquities and history prove the Palestinian’s attachment to his land since the dawn of human history.

Shtayyeh said: We are the ones who gave Palestine its name and the land its value and status. This land is ours. and (Israel) was established by the colonizers and settlers and it expanded like any settler colonialism throughout history, and we have learned from history that colonialism will cease, no matter how long it lasts.
