The only solution for terrorism is through its elimination and eradication. This, however, isn’t only the task of the Syrian Government as much as being an international responsibility in implementation for the US resolutions pertaining to the combating of terrorism, underscored Minister of Information, Mr. Omran al-Zoubi.
The ongoing terrorist aggressions against Syria, targeting the Syrian State and citizen, backed by terrorism-supporting-countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, would never achieve the sinister aims outlined by al-Qaeda affiliates and their backers..
Minister al-Zoubi asserted that the countries supporting terrorism continue to do so, which would have dire consequences not only against Syria, but against these countries themselves, the regional security in the region, if not farther.
Minister al-Zoubi pointed out that Israel has become the official spokesperson for Gulf countries, and the interests of Israel have become identical with those of Saudi Arabia because of the ongoing negotiations between Iran and Western countries.
These negotiations would help the realization of stability in the region, asserting that the positive climate of such negotiations would be reflected on the proposed Geneva 2, given the fact that Iran is a big country in the region and its participation in Geneva 2 would make a success of Geneva 2.
Minister al-Zoubi reiterated that the Syrian Government has been committed to the political solution to the crisis in Syria and would attend Geneva 2 with no prior conditions.
The Information Minister concluded that he Syrian Army has accomplished progress in combating terrorism in every corner of the Syrian territories, asserting that the Syrian Army has no alternative but combat the foreign-backed terrorists, among whom the most are foreigners.
