Chinese President: Solving the Ukraine crisis requires respecting the security concerns of other countries

Moscow (ST): Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed that resolving the Ukrainian crisis requires respecting other security concerns, in reference to Russia’s security concerns due to NATO’s expansion towards its borders.

“The complex problems have no easy solutions, and we are convinced that a rational way out of the Ukrainian crisis and a path to lasting peace and global security will be found in the world if everyone is guided by the concept of common, integrated and sustainable security, and they continue dialogue and consultations in an equal and practical manner.”

He pointed out that since the beginning of last year there has been a complete aggravation of the Ukrainian crisis, and that his country has always taken an objective and impartial stance and is making active efforts to promote reconciliation and peace negotiations, and that the number of visions it has expressed serves as a basic principle for China in the Ukrainian settlement, and this in particular indicates the need to comply with the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, respect the security concerns of all countries, support all efforts aimed at a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, and ensure the stability of global production and supply chains.
