Baghdad (ST): With the participation of Syria, the activities of the Baghdad International Flower Festival, in its twelfth session were launched in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, after a three-year pause due to the Corona pandemic.
In addition to Syria, Egypt, Sudan, Lebanon, Jordan, the Netherlands, Iran, and dozens of offices, nurseries, and agricultural companies are participating in the festival, which began its activities last night.
In a statement to news correspondent, the Mayor of the capital, Baghdad, Ammar Musa, praised the broad Syrian participation, pointing out that this would open prospects for cooperation in the agricultural field, increase green spaces and increase the exchange of experiences between the two countries.
For his part, the Syrian ambassador to Iraq, Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah, who attended the opening, affirmed that Syria’s participation in the festival is a message of love and peace to Iraqis and Arabs, and an opportunity to meet with brothers to exchange experiences in the field of flowers and medicinal plants.
