The Cabinet: Syrian teachers are soldiers in the process of building knowledge and preserving culture and belonging

The Presidency of the Cabinet congratulated the teachers of Syria, the builders of future and the bearers of the flag of science, on the occasion of the Arab Teacher’s Day.

The Cabinet’s Presidency said in a statement today that “Syria’s teachers are real soldiers in the process of building science and knowledge, preserving culture and true belonging to the homeland and its issues, and enhancing awareness among the emerging generations, in addition to their role in confronting misinformation campaigns targeting Syria, its history, civilization and future.”

The statement added that the teachers have contributed, over many decades, with full responsibility to building the human being and the nation by equipping generations  with knowledge enabling them to face various challenges. They defended with all their knowledge the history and civilization of the country and its national identity, and they performed their duty efficiently and competently, so they contributed to building the country  with one hand and defending it with the other. For this they made sacrifices in defense of their supreme mission in inculcating values and ideals and preserving national principles.

“Greetings to the teachers whose solid will and determination continued the educational process, so they preserved their schools, and continued the course of work despite terrorism and attempts to disseminate ignorance”, the Presidency concluded its statement by   wishing mercy on the souls of the martyrs of the educational sector who were synonymous with the Syrian Arab Army in the battle to defend the country’s sovereignty and its independent national decision.
