Baghdad-(ST)- Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi and the Syrian Ambassador to Iraq Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah discussed aspects of scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.
According to a statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education, Al-Aboudi stressed the keenness of the Ministry and the Iraqi universities to develop bilateral cooperation with the institutions of Arab countries, including the Syrian Arab Republic, especially after the launch of the “Study in Iraq” project and initiative, which opens the way for More interaction and scientific and cultural exchange.
Al-Aboudi said that one of the priorities of the programs accredited by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is to benefit from the academic and scientific experiences and expertise and to enhance joint work that supports the areas of developing the higher education sector.
Iraqi Ministry stressed the need to form a committee from the Ministry of Higher Education in order to visit all Syrian universities, which are among the most prestigious universities in the Middle East.
In turn, Ambassador Al-Dandah thanked the government and people of Iraq for the great support and assistance they provided to those affected by the earthquake disaster.
Al-Dandah pointed to the readiness of the Syrian universities to enhance joint cooperation and support the pioneering initiative launched by the Iraqi minister based on attracting international students, holding scientific conferences and exchanging university programs and experiences.
