Palestinian novelist Hassan Hammid won the “Najib Mahfouz Award for Best Arabic Novel” for his novel “The young Nagogi”.
Regarding the success of the novel, its author, writer Hassan Hammid, said in a statement to SANA: The novel seeks to uproot the false Zionist project in Palestine, and this is what the Palestinians are trying to do with their literature that exposes Zionist arts and literature and its false foundations. The novel shows the falsity of all allegations and settlement propaganda, especially after the 1948 Nakba, and works to support the culture of resistance and confront the Zionist oppression and its projects.
Hammid confirmed that the novel refutes the Zionist argument that Palestine is a land without a people, and annihilates all their successive projects against the Palestinian people, the owner of the land and the right to it.
