5 planes arrive to Damascus, Aleppo and Lattakia carrying relief materials for those affected by the earthquake
On March 11th, five planes from the UAE, Iran and Russia arrived at the international airports of Damascus, Aleppo and Latakia, loaded with relief materials, food and humanitarian aid for those affected by the earthquake.
An Emirati plane loaded with 30 tons and 50 kilograms of foodstuffs arrived at the Damascus International Airport, while a Russian plane arrived carrying relief aid for those affected by the earthquake.
An Emirati plane carrying 26.4 tons of relief materials arrived at Latakia International Airport, while an Iranian plane arrived at Aleppo International Airport carrying 35 tons of humanitarian and food aid.
In addition the Syrian Embassy in Moscow, in cooperation with the Syrian community, Syrian students and their Russian friends, and under the supervision of the Special Committee for Immediate Response to the Earthquake Disaster, continues the process of organizing the dispatch of humanitarian aid payments to Syria.
A Syrian air cargo plane also arrived from Moscow carrying 25 tons of relief materials and aid, organized by the Syrian embassy in Moscow and provided by the Syrian community in the Russian Federation and the Russian people to those affected by the earthquake.
This shipment includes medical equipment, medicines, generators, various clothes, food, infant formula, tents, mattresses, blankets, and others.
The embassy and the Special Committee for Immediate Response to the Earthquake Disaster will also prepare a new batch of aid composed of 30 tons, to be sent on board another cargo plane, which will depart in the coming days as soon as the necessary procedures and equipment are completed.
