Russian Investigative Committee to study data on Washington’s military-biological activities in Ukraine

MOSCOW-Russia’s Investigative Committee said on Friday it will analyze the data on other countries’ military-biological activities in Ukraine that were released by the Russian defense ministry.

“As part of the criminal case on the development of components for biological weapons in Ukraine, investigators of the Russian Investigative Committee will analyze the Russian defense ministry’s data on military-biological activities conducted by other countries on Ukraine’s territory, including the new data on the possible involvement of US and Ukrainian nationals in the activities of biological laboratories,” it said.

Earlier on Friday, Chief of Russia’s Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov said that under the pretext of reducing the risks of the propagation of diseases the Ukrainian authorities continue to cooperate with the Pentagon in the military-biological sphere. According to Kirillov, such activities may be geared to stage provocation with the use of dangerous pathogens and place the blame for it on Russia.

Despite the relevant statements by the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the US’ National Security Council John Kirby, Washington has not closed its biolaboratories in Ukraine, he noted, adding that the papers received by the Russian defense ministry provided evidence of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) biological program in Ukraine being underway.
