Beijing renews call on Washington to withdraw its forces from Syria and stop plundering its wealth

Beijing (ST): Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning renewed her country’s demand for the United States of America to withdraw its forces from Syria and stop plundering its wealth.

TASS news agency quoted Ning as saying during a press conference today: “The United States illegally intervened in Syria, which led to the killing of a large number of innocent civilians, and the occurrence of a serious humanitarian catastrophe, and therefore we call on the United States to sincerely respect the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of other countries and stop immediate illegal military presence and looting in Syria.”

Ning also called on the US authorities to lift the illegal unilateral sanctions on Syria and to stop measures that lead to aggravation of the humanitarian situation there.
