Cooperation between Al-Baath University and the Chilean Bernardo O’Higgins University discussed

Dr. Abdel Baset Al-Khatib, Rector of Al-Baath University, discussed with Dr. Claudio Rove Escobar, Rector of the Chilean Bernardo O’Higgins University, and his accompanying delegation, the possibility of joint cooperation in various fields of scientific research, and the development of scientific and cultural relations between the two countries.

The two sides agreed on the possibility of joint scientific cooperation in many research fields.

Al-Khatib gave the delegation an overview of Al-Baath University, its colleges and research centers, and its endeavor to qualify scientific and research cadres and its developmental, social and cultural role, pointing to the need for joint scientific cooperation, and the exchange of experiences, students and professors between the two universities to conduct joint research that serves humanity.

Dr. Escobar expressed his happiness for visiting the Syrian universities, especially Al-Baath University, pointing out that the visit aims at identifying opportunities for scientific communication between Chilean universities and Al-Baath University, and cooperation in the field of science transfer in all fields.

Escobar talked about Chile’s research centers, which are 10, in addition to the faculties and specializations that distinguish the Chilean university at the level of scientific research in the world.

After that, the delegation visited the faculties of Medicine, Civil Engineering, and Music Education, where the delegation was briefed on their laboratories and scientific equipment. The delegation also visited Al-Baath University Hospital.
