Iran: Israeli Aggression on Aleppo Airport is a Crime against Humanity

Tehran (ST) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned the Israeli aggression that targeted Syria this morning and led to putting Aleppo International Airport out of service.

Iranian media quoted Kanaani as saying: “While those affected by the earthquake in Aleppo are going through difficult conditions, the Zionist entity is attacking Aleppo airport, which is the main path for international aid to reach them, and this is a clear example of a crime against humanity”.

He called on the responsible international institutions to take immediate and effective measures to stop the crimes of this entity.

Kanaani added : “Unfortunately, some western countries and human right organizations remain silent about the continuation of the brutal and inhumane attacks of the criminal Zionist entity on Syria, and this silence is an example of encouraging the Israeli entity to continue committing violations of human rights and international laws.

This dawn, the Israeli enemy carried out an airstrike from the direction of the Mediterranean, west of Lattakia, targeting Aleppo International Airport, which caused material damage to the airport and put it out of service.
