Damascus (ST): The activities of the 15th Sila International Exhibition for Shoes and Leather (Spring-Summer 2023 Challenge) were concluded on Sunday. The exhibition was organized by the Mashhadani International Group for Exhibitions and Conferences in Damascus for four days, in cooperation with the Arab Federation for Leather Industries and the Ministry of Industry.
In a statement to the media at the conclusion of the activities, Khalaf Mashhadani, the general manager of the group, explained that the exhibition witnessed a qualitative turnout by specialists and delegations from outside Syria and from various governorates. It also witnessed the signing of many contracts and understandings that took place between the participants and visitors of the exhibition, and the majority of the participants registered orders for the internal and external markets.
Mashhadani pointed out that the virtual exhibition accompanying the event and the virtual platform provided an opportunity for those interested from outside Syria to communicate with the participants, watch the goods via video and recommend a number of orders, referring to the global initiative to buy Syrian products launched by the Arab Union for Leather Industries through the exhibition.
Mashhadani added that the quality of participation in this session is completely different from the previous sessions, as all the existing brands are important and have foreign markets so that some visitors to the exhibition from Iraq, Jordan and Palestine were surprised by the quality of the Syrian goods.
Youssef Saad, Senior Advisor to the Arab Union for Leather Industries, considered that the SILA exhibition demonstrated the ability of the Syrian industrialist to work in all difficult circumstances, especially with the negative repercussions left by the recent earthquake, as the presence of Syrian products and their sufficient diversity and excellent quality covered all the requirements of the Arab merchants who visited the exhibition.
