6 European countries urge Israel to halt settlement building activities in occupied Palestine

Six European countries on Saturday called on the Israeli occupation to stop its settlement building activites in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Palestinian media outlets reported that France, Britain, German, Spain, Italy and Poland, in a joint statement, called on the occupation to reverse its recent decision to advance the construction of more than 7,000 settlement units across the occupied West Bank, stressing their condemnation of the Israeli settlers’ attacks on the Palestinians and their property.

On February 20, the Security Council condemned the Israeli occupation’s decision to build thousands of settlement units in the West Bank, reaffirming its rejection of all the unilateral measures taken by the occupation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
