Raqqa, (ST) – The Governor of Raqqa Abd al-Razzaq Khalifa on Wednesday held a meeting with Deputy Regional Director of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (Maria) and the accompanying delegation in the city of Sabkha in the liberated countryside of Raqqa. The two sides duscussed the repercussions of the erathquake in Syria. They also discussed prospects of cooperation between the Raqqa province and the UNHCR
The governor indicated that in the liberated countryside of Raqqa there are 14 dilapidated houses whose residents have been evacuated for their safety. He pointed out that the governorate continues to cooperate with the Commission to carry out its humanitarian, service and development work to the fullest.
The governor called for increasing the number of projects proposed by the Commission to serve the citizens and help them enhance their stability.
Maria reviewed the projects that were completed during 2022 and the projects that will be implemented during 2023.
