The Ministry of Health on Tuesday received a set of medical supplies, including surgical tools and medicines provided by Indonesia, to support the efforts of the health sector in treating those affected by the earthquake.
After receiving the medical supplies at the Ministry’s building, Minister of Health Hassan Al-Ghabbash, during his meeting with a medical delegation from the Emergency Medical Rescue Organization in Indonesia, stressed the importance of the participation of Indonesian doctors with their counterparts in Syria to face the repercussions of the earthquake and exchange experience, pointing to the depth of relations between Syria and Indonesia.
In turn, the Indonesian ambassador to Syria Wajid Fawzi indicated that the medical delegation, which includes many specialties, will visit the affected governorates to see the situation of hospitals and priority requirements, in addition to distributing an additional set of medicines in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
