Sweida , (ST) – Religious and social organizations from Sweida governorate this dawn sent a new batch of aid to the earthquake-affected people in Aleppo governorate, as part of the “From Sweida to the Family” campaign.
One of the coordinators of the initiative, Executive Director of the Maqam Ain Al-Zaman Center for Social Development Basil Nasr said in a statement to SANA reporter that the aid is valued at more than 200 million Syrian pounds, and it includes two cars and a bus loaded with food baskets, clothes, infant formula, shoes, water bottles, and other needs.
This batch of aid was collected within mosques and churches as well as religious centers in the province.
Nasr pointed out that the aid convoy was prepared in cooperation with a number of voluntary, civil and social initiatives and teams, and expatriates of the Sons of Sweida Association in the United States of America, as part of the “From Sweida to the Family” campaign.
This campaign was launched in coordination with the relief committee in the province and according to a study of the required need in the affected areas, in response to the eagerness of the people to provide A helping hand for those affected in the afflicted governorates, as an affirmation of solidarity among the people of Syria, especially in these difficult circumstances.
