The show, performed by the Syrian theatrical actor Iman Omar and written and directed by Dr. Hussein Harf, is the first of its kind in the field of puppet monodrama.
Dr. Harf from Iraq pointed out that he called the show monodrama, as it was a mixture of puppet theater and monodrama theater in which the puppet moved during the entire 40-minute duration of the show.
The show begins with a short film, where a puppet maker appears first through a projector as he finishes his usual show, then throws the puppet on the ground, and the show proceeds between melody, words, movement, questions, and sad bitter laugh of the puppet Iman, according to a monodramatic artistic framework.
The show was immediately followed by a symposium initiated by its director, the artist Saad Al-Qasim, who introduced the team and the artist Iman, who makes and moves puppets in a sophisticated manner, and the director Hussein, a puppet artist who writes and directs puppet theater, in addition to his academic specialization in monodrama.
Dr. Sayed Ali Ismail from Egypt praised the beautiful experience he saw in the show, while Sudanese artist Sayed Ahmed considered the show as a new experience in monodrama.
