A Russian aid convoy arrived at the Health Directorate in Lattakia today, containing one ton of medical materials, medicines and blankets, to support the medical sector in facing the repercussions of the earthquake.
Deputy head of the medical mission at Hmeimim base, Lieutenant Colonel Doctor Andrei Nikolayevich, told reporters that Russia always stands with the friendly Syrian people.
In turn, Assistant Director of Health, Samer Ahmed, noted that Russian medical aid arrives successively, and this is the third batch sent to the directorate, and it includes a group of emergency medicines. He stressed communication with Russian friends to determine needs, thanking them for the continuous support.
For his part, the Training and Rehabilitation Officer at the Health Directorate, Dr. Ammar Issa, stated that this batch contains, in addition to the usual medical materials and medicines, relief items such as blankets and mattresses intended for hospitals.
