The Yemeni Embassy in Damascus sends a convoy of humanitarian aid to those affected by the earthquake in Aleppo

On February 26’s morning, a Yemeni aid convoy consisting of six trucks departed from the front of the Yemeni embassy in Damascus to Aleppo governorate, loaded with relief, food ,medical supplies, and winter clothes.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen in Damascus, Abdullah Ali Sabri, said that the conduct of this aid convoy comes within the framework of solidarity with the Syrian government and people, especially since the Syrian government continues to stand by Yemen at various stations and stages.

Ambassador Sabri indicated that this convoy is a symbol of the common bonds between the two brotherly peoples, and aims to strengthen efforts to break the unjust siege and Western sanctions on Syria.

For his part, the Head of the Yemeni Community Council in Syria, Muhammad Naji al-Awlaki, stated that this aid is a gift provided by the Yemeni community to those affected by the devastating earthquake under the slogan (From Yemen to Syria together to break the siege).

He expressed the solidarity of the Yemeni people with the Syrian people.

On February 18th, the Yemeni embassy in Damascus sent a six-truck relief convoy to the Governorate of Lattakia.
