Heads of parliaments and delegations participating in Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union Conference arrive to Damascus
Today, a number of heads of parliaments and delegations participating in the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union conference arrived at Damascus International Airport to affirm support for Syria and stand by its people.
Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament, Dr. Hanafi Jabali, confirmed in a press statement from Damascus airport: “We are in dear, brotherly Syria to show support and solidarity with it in facing the ordeal of the earthquake,” adding: “We say to the Syrian people that we are brothers and we stand beside them in these difficult circumstances.”
Parliament Speaker Hamouda Sabbagh said in a statement from the airport: “This visit is to confirm that Syria is the center of joint Arab action, and we thank all the delegations that came to Damascus.”
