President Al-Assad :Protecting pan-Arabism imperative

DAMASCUS, (ST) – “it is not odd for the Algerian people to stand by Syria simply because the Algerian people, to a great extent, have experienced the same experience the Syrian people are passing through now as regards confronting terrorism in addition to the honorable history where the two brotherly peoples shared in confronting colonialism, “underscored President Bashar Al-Assad.

 President  Al-Assad’s remark came during a meeting His Excellency held  on Wednesday with a delegation from the Algerian National Committee for Supporting the Steadfastness of Syria

President Al-Assad  made it clear that what is happening in the region affirms the need to bring the  efforts of Arab elite figures and nationalist  together only to create an intellectual deterrent capable of protecting pan-Arabism and nationalism and confronting changes and foreign and takfiri plots targeting Arabs’ present and future.

For their part, members of the delegation voiced  the Algerian people’s support for the Syrian army and people ‘s steadfastness in the face of terrorism and plots of sedition and division which are backed by regional and international sides, stressing that these projects target all Arabs, not just Syrians.

They also voiced confidence that Syria, the symbol of resistance and the first defender of Arab causes and interests, will be victorious.

It is to be noted that the delegation  comprised of Algerian political, media and academic figures and is spearheaded  by head of the committee Ramadan Boudla’a.
