National Earthquake Center: 68 Tremors were Recorded…All of them are less than magnitude 4

The National Earthquake Center on Thursday announced that the Stations of the National Seismic Monitoring Network recorded 68 mild tremors; all of them are less than magnitude 4.

The center said in a statement that the tremors were distributed as follows:

47 tremors occurred in Liwa Iskenderun region with a magnitude ranging between 1.7 and 3.7.

3 tremors west of Beirut in the Mediterranean Sea with a magnitude of 4, 2.1 and 2.4 at a distance of 37 km and 63 km away from Beirut.

4 tremors on the Syrian Turkish border with a magnitude ranging between 2.3 and 2.9.

14 mild tremors were recorded within the Turkish mainland.

The Center indicated that the current general situation indicates a sporadic occurrence of moderate tremors with the continuity of recording weak tremors.
