On February 22nd, citizens in the town of al-Sabha in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor confronted gunmen from the US-backed “SDF” “Qasd” militia who tried to regain one of their military points in the town from which the locals had expelled them.
Local sources stated that the people of the town of Al-Sabha clashed with an armed group affiliated to “Qasd” militia with machine guns, amid the flight of the US occupation helicopters over the area, against the backdrop of the expulsion one of the militia’s military points from the town by its locals.
The sources added that the militia brought large military reinforcements into the town, which is witnessing a state of security tension, in light of the residents’ refusal to return this militia to their town.
On February 4th, the “Qasd” militia imposed a curfew on the people of the towns of al-Sabha and Abriha in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
