Children of Baath Vanguards Organization carry out a stand demanding  lifting the siege on Syria

Governments, (ST) – The Children of the Baath Vanguards Organization in all Syrian schools and the main squares in all the governorates carried out stands on Wednesday demanding the lifting of the siege on Syria, and the unjust coercive measures against childhood and humanity.

In Damascus, children participating in the stand in front of the United Nations headquarters in Damascus carried national flags and banners calling for the lifting of the siege and sanctions imposed on Syria and its children.

The children presented a statement to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Syria, in which they said: “Do you know what it means for a child to open his eyes to the world to see war and destruction, to cry out in pain and not find a response to his screams, neither with medicine nor with food.

The children called on the international community to lift the brutal siege on Syria, and to stop the illegal sanctions and foreign interference in it, so that Syria returns to being a  country of love and peace  that everyone knows.

In his turn, the Head of the organization, Dr. Muhammad Izzat Arabi Katbi, stated that the stand is a  national  stand for the children of Syria because they are the segment that suffered the most from the unjust siege that affected their daily strength, security, safety and dreams. He pointed out that the role of the organization was only to coordinate the stand so that the children of Syria can communicate their voice to the world to regain their rights.

For her part, the Assistant Director of Education in Damascus, Rana Mousalli, indicated that Syrian children must regain their smile and childhood, which were robbed by terrorism and the earthquake.

“Therefore, lifting the siege is important for Syrian children to live in psychological and physical peace”, Mousalli added.
