Syrian Science Olympiad students win 4 medals in Info Cup 2023

DAMASCUS, Feb.21, (ST)- The Syrian Science Olympiad students won four medals, two silver and two bronze, in the (Info Cup 2023) International Informatics Championship, which was organized by Romania between 2nd and 5th of February with the participation of 206 students distributed over 54 teams from 11 countries from all over the world.

The Excellence and Creativity Authority said in a statement released today that the two silver medals were won by a member of the National Informatics Team, Farhan Hajj Younes, from the second secondary grade in Homs, and the student Zine El Abidine Zammar from the second secondary grade in Aleppo.

It added that two bronze medals were won by the student Hadi Suleiman from the first grade of secondary school in Damascus, and the student Abdullah Abdullah from the first grade of secondary school in Lattakia.

The participation in this championship is the beginning of the participation of the Syrian International Science Olympiad in the 2023 season, and it included two rounds, each of them lasted for four hours.
