Makhlouf, WFP Deputy Director discuss a mechanism to include quake-affected people in the Program’s aid
On February 20th, the Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Relief Hussein Makhlouf discussed with the Deputy Director of the World Food Program (WFP) Ruth Smith a mechanism for including those affected by the earthquake in the aid program provided by the WFP in coordination with the sub-committees for relief in the affected governorates.
During the meeting, the house evaluation survey conducted by the program for families benefiting from the humanitarian assistance was reviewed to include families affected by the earthquake.
Makhlouf appreciated the efforts exerted by the program to increase funding and include families affected by the earthquake in this aid.
In turn, Smith expressed the program’s interest and endeavor to include families affected by the earthquake in this aid and explained the efforts that have been exerted by the program since the first day of the disaster.
