Iran condemns “ISIS” terrorist attack that killed more than 50 people in the eastern countryside of Homs

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani on Saturday condemned the Murderous Attack by “ISIS” (Daesh) terrorist organization in the eastern countryside of Homs, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 50 people.

The Iranian news agency (IRNA) stated that Kanaani offered his condolences to the Syrian government and people, and stressed the need for an effective international support to the Syrian Government to fight “ISIS” and other terrorist organizations.

Kanaani explained that the US Administration, being one of the founders and supporters of the terrorist organization ISIS, is complicit in this terror organization’s continued crimes and in the continued insecurity in Syria, noting that the current policies and approach of the US Administration indicate the continuity of adopting double standards in dealing with international issues, including combating terrorism.

Fifty-three citizens, gathering truffles, were martyred in an attack by ISIS terrorists yesterday, southeast of Al-Sukhneh city in the eastern countryside of Homs.
