Zakharova: There is clear Western politicization with regard to the delivery of humanitarian aid to Syria

Moscow (ST): Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that her country will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Syria to face the repercussions of the earthquake that hit it on the sixth of February, stressing the need to lift the sanctions against it, which impede the provision of assistance to it.

Zakharova explained during a press conference today that there is clear politicization by the West in the file of delivering humanitarian aid to Syria, as Turkey received aid from 21 countries in the European Union, while only a few provided assistance to Syria, and this is unacceptable in the humanitarian field.

Zakharova pointed out that Russia continues to provide humanitarian aid to the earthquake-affected people in Syria, explaining that the Russian rescue teams have completed all tasks in the earthquake-affected areas and returned to their country.
