26 Arab parties declare their solidarity with Syria and demand lifting the siege imposed on it

26 Arab parties declared their solidarity with Syria in the face of the tragic situation it is going through as a result of the earthquake, the danger of which is exacerbated by the unjust blockade and the plundering of the resources of the Syrian Arab people by the United States of America. The parties called on the United Nations and the international community to take swift and urgent measures to lift the Western sanctions on Syria and provide the country with the needed assistance.
The parties said in a statement: “The Arab nationalist and progressive parties that signed this statement stand stands with Syria in the face of the tragic situation it is going through following the natural disaster that struck it on the 6th of February, leaving thousands dead and injured.”
The parties added: “Syria, which faced a global terrorist war for twelve years, a siege and severe sanctions, is exposed today to a massive natural disaster, and it has little means of relief, a mattaer that exacerbates the suffering of the Syrian people and worsens their situation in the light of the unjust siege and the plundering of the resources of the Syrian people by the United States of America.”
The parties affirmed their absolute solidarity with the Syrian Arab people and leadership and strongly condemned all the arbitrary and aggressive measures taken by the United States and its allies against Syria, which constitute a heinous crime against its people and against human rights, as thousands of Syrians died as a result of these criminal measures.
The parties called on the United Nations and the international community to take quick and urgent measures to lift the sanctions, provide aid, and save the Syrian people.
