Al-Quds Governorate:  Occupation’s Demolishing of Palestinians Homes and Facilities in Al-Quds is a War Crime

Al Quds (Jerusalem) Governorate has affirmed that the demolishing of Palestinian homes and facilities in occupied Al-Quds is a dangerous escalation that amounts to war crimes, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement against the Palestinian people.

In a statement reported by Wafa News Agency, Al Quds Governorate said that the occupation authorities are tightening the noose on Al Quds’s people by all means, where they deploy their checkpoints in all streets of the city and abuse young, women, the elderly, and the sick daily, especially at the checkpoints of the Shuafat and Qalandia camps. As the Occupation Authorities prevent people in Al Quds from urban expansion in the city and impose exorbitant taxes on their homes and properties and force their owners to pay huge fines to cover the cost of the demolition and the removal of the rubble.

Al Quds Governorate called on the international community to stop the Israeli occupation’s flagrant violations of international law and Geneva Conventions, pointing out that the statements of condemnation are not enough and they don’t constitute real pressure on the occupation to stop its crimes, rather they encourage the occupation to commit more crimes.
