Baghdad (ST): The Iraqi cabinet decided to offer 60,000 tons of fuel oil to Syria to help it overcome the effects of the devastating earthquake.
The cabinet said in a statement on Tuesday: “The cabinet decided, in its session chaired by prime minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, that the Ministry of Oil donates 60,000 tons of high-sulfur fuel oil to Syria.”
The statement indicated that this quantity of oil will be transported by the Syrian side from the Al-Mikhtaf area in the Iraqi territorial waters.
